It's more then a butterfly park!

After many invitations by my good friend and owner of the park, I decided to pop in recently with my kids.

Its been years since I last visited the park, not counting my numerous business visit to his office , and I was quite amazed with the additional attractions he has put into the park. My kids was attracted to the numerous Love Birds and I was trying to make the black bird talk! Those gibbons are not so friendly and one of them even pee from the top of the cage splashing all over the floor. My kids ask me why the parrot just sit there and dont fly off as there was no chain on its leg; I told them Uncle Gerald cut off the flight feathers and that's why the parrot cant fly (Naughty uncle).

As we enter into the building, we were greeted with exciting kids and squeamish mums wanting to snap photos with the iguana, snakes, parrots & a small monkey on display there. My kids were more concerned about the poor monkey being chained up and asking me to call Uncle Gerald not to chain the monkey. We continued our tour to the souvenir section and into the butterfly area. This area is roughly the same as my last visit and I still love the landscaping and those colourful carps still amazed me. (Not many butterfly around as the new batch has not been released in yet).

As we proceed to the next section - the aviary has some beautiful birds especially the large white peacock which sits majestically displaying his long white feathers. There are also a variety of hornbills and many other exotic birds on display. Surprise to see a lonely Tapir sleeping in one of the display enclosure. There is an opened pool with there giant amazon fishes in it and there are hugh ! The crocodiles are as usual basking in the sun motionless, and some with their mouth opened; there are so many and all looks so healthy.

O yes. the pair leopards are the latest addition and they look very well fed and walking up and down actively in the large cage. My kids think the enclosure is still too small for both of them and I told them maybe Uncle Gerald one day will expand and have a safari and get more animals in. The Otters are very active too and they looks fat and big.

We walk though the snakes area quite quickly as all of them are motionless and the King Cobra was really big! We entered the museum area where bugs and butterflies are on display and them out though the souvenir area again. The souvenir area are well stocked but nothing we wanted from there.

This park is more than a butterfly & reptile sanctuary, it could be a mini zoo as well and so much to see and if you have time, you could also sit and enjoy the tranquillity of the well landscaped area with the sound of flowing water and childrens laughter.

So, do come and experience for yourself and its a place for the family to relax and enjoy a day out!

Thank You Uncle Gerald! Now you can give daddy more business.
